US imposes targeted sanctions for aiding Iran, North Korea and Syria

On March 21 2017, the US Department of State, imposed sanctions on 30 foreign entities and individuals in 10 countries for transferring sensitive technology to Iran for its missile program or for violating export controls on Iran, North Korea, and Syria.

A group of eleven companies and individuals from China, North Korea and the United Arab Emirates was sanctioned for transferring technology that could boost Iran’s ballistic missile program. An additional group of 19 foreign entities and individuals was sanctioned for the transfer to, or acquiring from, Iran, North Korea, or Syria of (US) controlled goods, services, or technology, or items that could contribute to the development of weapons of mass destruction or missile proliferation, according to the State Department.
