President Obama has secured the required 34 Senators’ Support for the E3/EU+3 with Iran (the “Iran Nuclear Deal“). This number guarantees the needed support in the US Senate to prevent his veto from being overridden should US Congress vote to disapprove of the Iran Nuclear Deal.
Securing the required support is a significant step and it is likely to accelerate the process of implementation of the Iran Nuclear Deal by all parties involved and particularly on the part of Iran, which is held to meet several strict obligations in respect of its nuclear programme before further sanctions relief can take effect.
